Manx Timing Solutions was formed in 2006
in recognition of the need for better timing systems for local sporting activities
on the Isle of Man

Timing Equipment;

  • Tag Heuer - Chronoprinter + Photo-Cell (light beam) for high precision [1/1000th] timing of point to point races.

  • SPORTident - Transponder-based wristband / neck lanyard "dibbers" that are ideal for both manned and un-manned multiple-checkpoint or point-to-point events.  Widely used in cycle-sportif / orienteering / race walking etc. Can be combined with push-button or light-beam actuated start/finish to provide sub-second precision.

  • We also have several software-based timing solutions available that may be suitable for other timing applications - every scenario is different and the solution can be tailored to fit the requirements.

  • Finish-Line Camera - For precision backup and post-event verification of times in sports that require visual confirmation of official times, our professional finish line camera may be used in conjunction with other equipment to record every second of your event for subsequent verification by independent finish-line officials.
  • As well as our own equipment and expertise, we have good links to other UK-based Timing Service providers - which gives us access to additional services and equipment if required.

  • Timing & Results during the event itself.
  • Post-event results formatting and presentation.
  • In addition, we have strong links with local press and can submit results direct on your behalf - formatted for immediate inclusion in local papers without time-consuming re-keying & re-formatting.
  • We take the load off event organisers - which means that they can focus on the event itself and leave the rest to us.
